Taft has a great tradition for soccer and provides committed student athletes a setting to take their game to the highest level possible. With three full teams, each having its own schedule, field, and coaches, Taft soccer is truly a developmental program where players work their way through the "system". Each year, Taft is producing DI and DIII college level athletes who have honed their skills on the fields at Taft, and Taft soccer graduates have gone on to great careers at schools like Williams, Middlebury, Yale, Amherst, Colby, Northeastern, Lehigh, Richmond, Cornell, and Connecticut College. Taft varsity soccer is an extraordinary experience. Within one of the finest academic high schools in America, Taft varsity soccer offers its players the chance to play a rigorous schedule which every week includes the biggest and best programs in prep soccer, the chance to play with and against college level athletes from all over the country and world, the chance to play and train on one of the finest fields in New England, and the chance to train with a coach who graduated from Taft, teaches at Taft, played DI college soccer and played professionally both domestically and abroad for nearly ten years. Taft soccer is the complete package for an aspiring student athlete and a unique opportunity in high school soccer to gain exposure to the game at its highest level.
