Girls' Cross Country

Head Coach: Lisa Klein

The goals of the girls cross country program at Taft include developing each runner to her fullest potential, fostering a strong sense of teamwork in what is often perceived as an individualized sport, and helping each girl to find enjoyment in running.   We work hard to create a stratified training regimen that is challenging for our most experienced runners, while accessible for our novice runners.  In addition to standard training techniques, such as tempo runs and hill repeats, we also practice yoga to increase flexibility and we play running games to improve agility and to enhance team spirit.
