Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree Magna Cum Laude from Bucknell in Business Administration with a minor in Dance and a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Teaching from Purchase College, receiving the MFA Award for Excellence. She has served on the faculties of The Hartt School Community Division, The New Haven Ballet, and The Limón Institute NYC and as a visiting professor at Bucknell University and is an ABT® Certified Teacher of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. As a performer, Sarah toured extensively with Carolyn Dorfman Dance and with many other NY, NJ, PA and CT-based companies for whom she was a featured dancer and stager and rehearsal director for many works. Her choreography has been presented by several colleges and schools throughout the northeast and, as an undergraduate, she was selected to co-choreograph Copacetic with Professor Danna Frangione for the Tsoying Dance Ensemble in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. At Taft, Sarah teaches dance, choreographs the musicals and directs the Dance Ensemble and lives in New Hartford with her husband Jim, daughter Evelyn and son Jude.
